Support your local team IS the scouse attitude. When a scouser meets another scouser they hardly know, to break the ice they'll ask them, "red or blue"? If the person says that they're not into footy they'll get a weird look, if they were to say they support Man Utd, Chelsea or some other team from far far away, it would be difficult to comprehend.

There is nothing wrong with this, it's just the way scousers have been brought up and i'd say it explains why scousers struggle to understand why an OOT would want to support Liverpool.
